Ktima Lino

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights in late June at Ktima Lino in Naxos. This was a perfect fit for us and exactly what we hoped. Just a 5 minute walk down a country lane to a busy beach area with shops and taverna (Agia Anna), and an easy 20 minute bus ride to Naxos Town. The property was tranquil, beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained with a welcoming pool. The hotel itself was modern with Cycladic architecture and impeccably clean. The birdsong, occasional rooster and donkey bray heard from our pool loungers were a fitting backdrop for this welcoming retreat. Vaggelis and his wife, Maria were our wonderful and hardworking hosts during our stay. Vaggelis arranged our airport transportation, offered suggestions for restaurants, and advice on car rental and places to see outside of their beautiful coastal location. Maria was our first welcoming face when we arrived, and she settled us in our room after a very long day of travel with fresh lemonade and homemade cake. She was responsible for our delicious daily breakfasts including choices of: omelettes made to order, eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal and homemade treats with fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee (filtered, Greek or espresso) and the additional poolside drinks and sandwiches if we found ourselves looking for a simple midday meal. Both Vaggelis and Maria were so warm and generous with their time; we deeply enjoyed our conversations and felt we got a glimpse of what living on Naxos was like from people who loved and respected the land and its history. We rented a Superior Queen Room - very comfortable and spacious for the two of us. The A/C worked well and the balcony overlooked the landscaped yard, with flowering hedges, olive trees and grape vines, and the adjacent fields. Our room was kept in top shape by our housekeeper, Lia, and was reset daily with fresh towels and water bottles in the minifridge. Thank you all at Ktima Lino for our beautiful into to Greece. This was one of the most magical places in all of our stay in Greece! Vaggellis and Maria are like the cool aunt and uncle you always wanted. They are exceedingly kind and hospitable. We found while we were in Greece that the locals could be either a bit distant and cold, or the warmest, most authentic people we've ever met. It's no surprise if you read other reviews here that these two are the latter. They really are gems in a country of understandably tourist-fatigued hosts. Ktima Lino, however, felt like being a truly welcome guest. I'll never forget how good the Naxian yogurt with honey was! The rooms were superbly cleaned every day, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. Before booking we were slightly worried that we would be too far from town, but it wasn't at all! There is roughly a 5 minute walk to the main strip, but it was actually one of our favorite memories walking down the little road listening to the wind blowing through the trees as we walked to dinner. This place was quiet in all the right ways, but never felt dead. Don't let the fact that it's off in it's own little area dissuade you. One day we will find our way back to Naxos and come back to stay at Ktima Lino. Thank you for the incredible memories!

What's not to love in this beautiful hotel? I could not recommend this place enough. Everything is thought out so that you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest. It's ideally located but still in a tranquil area. The hotel looks brand new and is designed with taste. Vangelis and his wife are the most amazing hosts! The fresh food they serve onsite is absolutely delicious, fresh and unforgettable. Rooms are clean, spacious, relaxing. The pool was our favorite place (it was hard to go to the beach while having this gorgeous place to relax)! Vangelis had so many recommendations of places to visit, restaurants etc. I hope we can visit again!

We stayed here for 8 nights for our honeymoon. Such a beautiful quiet location. The rooms were immaculate and big with gorgeous views.The hosts were so kind and friendly. On arrival we were treated to a bottle of wine, cake and a card which was such a lovely touch. Breakfast every morning was also delicious, with loads of options to choose from. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
